I don't know why they call it a "green thumb"

I don't know why they call it a "green thumb." I've been pulling dandelions out from the roots all over my yard for the last two days and my thumbs, and fingers for that matter, are totally un-green. They are most definitely dirt-brown...and I'm pretty sure it's permanent. I've scrubbed my hands several times and that pretty brown color is going nowhere fast. It's found a nice home in the cozy nooks of my finger wrinkles.

Ok also, when I close my eyes, I see the outlines of dandelion weeds EVERYWHERE and I want to just YANK them out!! I think this officially makes me crazy(as if any of you needed additional evidence).

I understand. It's the same feeling I had about goathead thorns last summer, and why I couldn't pass one in someone else's yard without pulling it.

Sweetheart, you deserve a great pair of gardening gloves. You would be amazed at how clean your hands emerge!
